DEMO RECORDINGS:
Marilynn uses Logic Pro 7 with an iMAC computer, Apogee Ensemble interface and Westlake moniters along with dozens of plug-ins for your piano demo. And for vocals or other instruments, she has Neumann capsule and Shure dynamic mics for live recording direct to Logic. Pianists can record on the Bosendorfer grand with two Neumann KM 84's for a supurb piano recording.
MIDI & MUSIC SCORE LESSONS:
Marilynn can start you learning about MIDI and recording and composing music on the computer using Logic Pro 7 in her home studio. Learn the difference between tracks and channels, how to set up a MIDI song and record it, how to edit in the score window and print out your own lead sheets. Learn how to drop in drum loops, make your own arrangements and bounce to MP3s to put on your iPod. We will record something every lesson.
VOCALISTS:
Do you know what keys you sing in? Do you have lead sheets that are clear, clean and in the correct key for your voice? Do you need arrangements of standard songs so the rhythm section will know what you need on the gig? I can help you with all of that. Together we can make your song list, figure out which keys are best for you, whether or not you want an intro and how to end the song. I can also help you to learn new songs if you have trouble reading and we'll record your voice at every lesson so you can hear what your audience hears and track your progress from week to week.
VOCALISTS: ARE YOU SHY & INSECURE IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE OR MICROPHONE?
Marilynn has a 12 point plan to help you gain confidence in front of an audience or using a mike in the studio. Confidence comes from being prepared and with Marilynn's 12 point plan customized just for you, you will be prepared & relaxed with arrangements & leads sheets you're comfortable with and you'll gain a lot of experience from recording your voice at each lesson.
CUSTOM MUSIC AND ARRANGING:
Do you need new custom jazz or New Age music for your video project, meditation or guided imagery tapes, teaching video or DVD? I can provide you with brand new music composed specifically for your application. Or you can license one of Marilynn's, Andy's, Sean's, Rudy's or Hal's songs.
MUSIC LICENSING:
Would you like to use some of Marilynn's music that you're already familiar with such as "Feathertouch" or "Dragon & Phoenix" as background music for your guided imagery or meditation tapes? Do you need soothing background music for your hypnotherapy sessions? You can license Marilynn's music to use in these situations for a very reasonable cost.
LEAD SHEETS:
Do you need lead sheets for music that you've written in your head but don't have down correctly on paper? I can teach you how to do your own lead sheets or I can do them on my computer using Logic Audio. Music and lyrics get printed out looking like it just came from the publisher.
