Chakra Chart and Set of Colored Chakra Stones
 The chakra chart has information on 2 sides and comes with the set of colored stones. You get both pieces for $5.There are seven chakras or energy openings in the body beginning with the root chakra on an acupoint at the base of the torso. In order to have optimum health and energy flow it is necessary to keep these openings from getting clogged up. Some of the methods used for opening the chakras are meditation, yoga, reiki, qigong, massage, listening to chakra music, acupuncture and color and aroma therapy. Each chakra has a frequency vibration which corresponds to a color and musical pitch or note. The chakra chart for sale here shows the location, color and some remedies for healing the chakras. The set of stones can be used as a meditation aid. By focusing your meditation on a particular color or chakra you can help to open up that chakra and increase the energy flow in your body. And by listening to music in the particular chakra key, you can also help to open up the energy flow.The color for the root chakra is red and the musical pitch or note is "C". Chinese Health Balls - Baoding Balls
Chinese Health or Therapy Balls - relief from the stress and irritation caused by carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis - a perfect gift for your favorite massage therapist or musician!
Chinese health or therapy balls can a very helpful alternative treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis, two problems which plague massage therapists, musicians, athletes and anyone who sits typing at a keyboad for long periods of time. The Baoding balls (so called because they were invented in Baoding, China during the Ming dynasty) have been used for the health and well being of the hands and upper body for hundreds of years and come in sets of two in a silk covered box. They are both meant to be rotated in the hand, one hand at a time and in both directions. Most people find it easier to rotate them in one direction than the other with each hand but with daily practice, you should be able to rotate them smoothly in both directions.

The therapeutic principles behind using the health balls comes from Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM. The Chinese believe that most illnesses and health problems come from a blockage in the meridians or energy channels of the body and that by removing the blockage, health can be restored. Two of the tools that the Chinese physician uses are acupuncture (thin needles inserted into the energy channels) and acupressure massage (trigger points). There are many acupressure points in the hands which lead to other organs of the body including the heart and the “tunnel” which gets blocked in carpal tunnel syndrome. The Chinese term for this is “jingluo”. So by rotating the health balls in your hands, you are sending energy through your hands, up your arms and all the way to your heart. You are also using muscles in your hands, arms and upper torso that you might not normally use so you are strengthening these muscles at the same time as you are opening energy channels. Both of these things may help to prevent arthritis and give some relief from the stress and irritation of arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. We can't promise to make your arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome go away but we think you'll enjoy the relaxing sounds of the chimes as you are exercising your hands and arms.

You can also use therapy balls as a meditation aid and to quiet the mind of unwanted chatter. You will find that it is very hard to do or think about anything else while you are rotating the balls. They force you to be really here in this moment, the very purpose of meditation. Each ball has a small chime in it and they are pitched differently to provide different sounds and overtones. The musical pitches themselves can also be therapeutic as each pitch and overtone of that pitch corresponds to an organ of the body. So while you are rotating the health balls, you are exercising the joints and muscles in your hands, you may be opening up blocked energy channels, you are quieting your mind in meditation and you are sending healing energy to organs of the body with different pitches from the balls. These are a lot of therapeutic benefits from such a small simple thing as rotating two metal balls your hands. And it's fun too!

Kuan Yin (Chinese) or Kannon (Japanese) is the Bodhisattva of Compassion, the protector of children and families and is said to have so loved all human beings that she gave up her freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth until all human beings achieved Enlightenment. She is frequently pictured with a small vase holding her tears of compassion for mankind. In Japan, most Buddhist temples have an alter dedicated to Kuan Yin and in China, there are many temples devoted exclusively to Kuan Yin as well as to the Buddha.

 Mala beads, also known as prayer or worry beads have been used in various forms and in many cultures and religions for centuries. Ancient Buddhist statues and cave paintings show Buddhist figures holding mala beads. The Greeks have long used worry beads. And in Christianity, the mala beads were extended in length to become the rosary. The purpose of all of these is the same - to keeping count of mantras, chants and prayers and to help keep the mind focused during meditation.
 These mala beads were made in China and have hand carved Buddha images on some of the wooden beads. They are strung on stretch elastic and can be worn on the wrist like a bracelet. The malas have an average of 16 beads per bracelet and because of the elastic, they should fit most wrists.
