FENG SHUI
Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of balancing yin and yang energy in the home,
business or personal environment through the use of baguas or eight sided mirrors, furniture placement,
colors, plants and music. It is a way of harmoniously aligning
natural and man made elements in an aesthetically pleasing way while
allowing energy to flow freely through the space. Feng Shui is also used to situate buildings and homes on property in order to
maximize energy flow. Feng Shui has been
increasing in popularity in the West and many architectural firms hire
a Feng Shui consultant before starting construction on new homes or offices.
FENG SHUI MUSIC
I.
Moongate Music Inc. presents three CD’s of Oriental and Asian
influenced music for Feng Shui, Tai Chi, Qigong & Acupuncture.
- Black
Dragon (yang or strong energy) is the first in the Moongate series of
three audio CD’s for Feng
Shui, Tai Chi, Qigong and Acupuncture. All three CDs were recorded
using digital samples of
Asian instruments and the melodies are based on the ancient Confucian
Pentatonic or five note scale representing the five Chinese elements of
FIRE, WATER, WOOD, METAL and EARTH.
- Dragon and Phoenix is the second CD
with music that has a balance of yin and yang (softer and stronger)
energies.
- Along the Silk Road is the third CD with quiet music of
mainly yin (softer) energy.
II. The ancient Chinese
believed that the universe was made up of opposite pairs of elements
called yin (cool, dark, water, feminine & yielding) and yang (warm,
light, fire, masculine & strong) and that when the yin and yang in
the body, mind and spirit were in balance, the body would be healthy
and surging with positive energy or chi, the life force of the
universe. Conversely, if there was too much yin or too much yang,
illness and disharmony would result and the energy or chi would stop
flowing.
ACUPUNCTURE AND TAI CHI MUSIC
I.
The Chinese acupuncture physician heals illness by inserting thin
needles into the places where the chi or energy has been blocked in the
body. Acupuncture is also being used successfully on sport horses used
in competition, proof that acupuncture is a legitimate healing
practice. Most acupuncture offices have soft and soothing Feng Shui music playing to help you relax during treatments. Tai
Chi and Qigong are exercises that are designed to keep the energy
flowing and the yin and yang perfectly in balance through the use of
movement, mental focus and meditation. Music CDs are an important tool used to increase the
healing benefits of all of these practices.
FENG SHUI MUSIC, YIN AND YANG
I. The Yin & Yang energies of the
universe are constantly shifting so we need different types of Feng
Shui music to balance different types of energy. Black Dragon music has
more Yang (warm, light, fire, masculine & strong) energy than Yin
(cool, dark, water, feminine & yielding) and should be played to
add more intensity & active energy to the personal environment. Dragon
and Phoenix is music with a balance of Yin and Yang and can be used
daily to maintain Feng Shui balance in the home or place of business. Meditations
Along the Silk Road has more Yin energy and should be played when there
is a need to diffuse or subdue intense energy. All three CD’s
are ideal for Tai Chi & Qigong practice and Silk Road and Dragon
and Phoenix
are also perfect for Yoga practice. Many acupuncturists also use music
in their treaments rooms and these three Cds are also ideal for use
with acupuncture.

About composer Marilynn Seits
Marilynn
Seits is a composer and pianist living in West Palm Beach, Florida. She
studied Feng Shui and Taoist Arts with Taoist Master Kwan Saihung (The
Wandering
Taoist) in Boston and she has been to China 5 times with Dr. Karen
Kramer to study Tai Chi and
Qi-Gong. While in China, Marilynn met and studied with Qigong Professor
Yu Xiang Chun of Zijiang University and Dr. Zhou Huai in Hangzhou,
China. After hearing Marilynn's music Black Dragon, Professor Yu commissioned the music for Dragon & Phoenix. She has also released several other albums of healing New Age & Oriental music.
